| These are the four schools at which I auditioned. I am not providing names because I think these schools are fairly typical of a wide range of colleges in the United States. The point is to describe what the auditions were like so you will know what to expect. Have you auditioned at a music school? If so you can help me add to this page by filling out the form at the end of the page. If you're getting ready for an audition, though, you've come to the right place. I Played: Cantabile et Presto from Flute Music by French Composers, Bach's b minor Sonata (and scales and etudes) Audition Location: Professor's office Audition Committee: The flute professor Other General Requirements: Sight-singing, theory test, info sessions also scheduled throughout the day. Additional Requirements for Music Ed: Interview with a music ed professor Results: Accepted College Number 2 Description: Medium-sized, in-state campus, school is known for its science program and its excellent dorms, music program is growing but not up to the caliber of even a top in-state university.
