Anyone watching VH1's rock and roll reality show, Bands on the Run, will love this one!Remember a few episodes ago when Fletcher Lea, the bass player for Flickerstick, the drunkenest band that ever did rock this world, cheated on his fianc�e (who, by the way, had just given birth to their child)? Well, have you been wondering whether the two are still together, especially now that the show is over and his fianc�e has seen the episode on TV in which he does the unthinkable deed?
Well, it seems the answer could be summed up with a single flip of the bird. At the Dallas-based band's Sunday (June 3) show at the Metro in Chicago, a fan approached Fletcher with the question on everyone's minds, "So, Fletcher. How's your fianc�e?" Fletcher turned around and replied with his middle finger firmly up in the air.
Maybe in the forthcoming reunion episode of Bands on the Run inquiring minds will find out what really happened once the cameras were turned off. VH1 will be taping part of that episode on Monday (June 11) at the House of Blues in Los Angeles with all three of the final contestants -- Flickerstick, Harlow, and Soulcracker -� performing.
And, for those who aren't familiar with Bands on the Run, it's the show that pits unsigned bands against each other in a battle of who can sell the most merchandise and get the most bodies into their shows.
As for the other bands, well, Harlow is an L.A.-based goth-rock female group that features Amanda "I borrowed my former guitarist's hair extensions" Rootes from the now defunct British punk band Fluffy, which had a minor hit with its "Husband" single on Tim Kerr/Capitol in 1995, and Chimene "I've been playing bass for 15 years!" Gonzalez from the also defunct L.A. band Penny Dreadfuls, which had its self-titled debut album released on Restless Records in 1996. And then there's Soulcracker, the hardest working and most obnoxious band on the show, from San Diego.
Flickerstick, meanwhile, is self-releasing its album on June 19
