Tak Matsumoto Signature Pickup & Strings on sale!
From Gibson Corporation, who in recent memory released the world's
5th [Les Paul] signature model "Tak Matsumoto Les Paul", the decision has
come to release the pickup and strings separately. The pickups are
suitable for a Les Paul, and were designed in collaboration with Matsumoto
himself. The strings are shipped in straight packing [totally
nuts! where do they think the core wire comes from? what do they think
is wrapped around the core?], to stop the blurring of the vibration,
obtaining vintage tone. [marketing bullshit.] They are available
in 3 gauges, the ones Matsumoto uses himself, changing gauge according
to the song. [sounds extremely unlikely? possibly he uses a thicker
gauge for the dropped D songs?] "Guitar Kids" who can't easily obtain
a "Tak Matsumoto Les Paul" will be very happy with these replacement pickups
and strings! |

TAK Matsumoto Les Paul
Respectable American guitar artisans with over 100 years of proud history,
Gibson Corporation, and Japan's guitarist Takahiro Matsumoto have combined
to proudly give the world this signature model. Taking over 2 years of
co-operation between Takahiro Matsumoto and Gibson staff, the "TAK Matsumoto
Les Paul" model has been completed. The guitars are each carved with their
own serial number. Incidentally, Takahiro Matsumoto himself owns numbers
"TM 002" & "TM 007". Now, due to everyone's hot request, we introduce
the specs of the "TAK Matsumoto Les Paul".
