Obviously, there are a number of permutations which are consistent with this data (e.g. some interleaving of groups), but such permutations do not at this time seem to have an obvious impact for most chronological purposes. The inclusion of other eponyms is also not excluded – especially between Assur-da’issunu and Assur-ketti-ide and Usat-marduk and Ellil-asared.

This gives a sequence of 26 eponyms which are dated with great precision – given the underlying information.  This eponym sequence can be applied to floruit information with interesting results.

[1] There are three reported Aibi-assur eponyms in this period: Qibi-assur<Ibassi-ili; Qibi-assur<Samash-aha-iddina [brother to Ubru] and Qibi-assur<Silli-marduk.  There are only a few letters with patronymic.  In addition to Istar-eris<Sulmanu-qarrad, Istar-eris<Samash-aha-iddina is reported as an eponym (together with his two brothers).
