1. Once again, were at the crossroads of forever or goodbye. Id do anything to make this work but all I do is make you cry. 2. You say were just too different. Whats made you change your mind? Are you scared of the commitment now, or does it all come down to pride? * Our music would sing across the river And love would dance us til the dawn. Somehow our hearts lost the rhythm and I cant remember the song. 3. So now I stand before you like a soldier home from war. I dont quite know where I belong or if Im wanted anymore. 4. You say theres words you had to hear from me. Things you needed me to prove. I couldnt show you how I felt. Guess I put the blame on you. * Our music would sing across the river And love would dance us til the dawn. Somehow our hearts lost the rhythm and I cant remember the song. # Theres nothing but the whisper of the wind. What will bring our music back again? * Our music would sing across the river And love would dance us til the dawn. Somehow our hearts lost the rhythm and I cant remember the song. So once again, I had a title and no theme. I then overheard two lovers saying, "well, I guess we have to decide whether this is forever or goodbye." I wrote the quote down in the geeky songwriter's notebook I always carry around with me.
I thought of my past relationships and the song immediately came together. (Ya gotta love these "gift songs." You know, the ones that just HAPPEN and you don't know how or why, but you sure are thankful for them.)
