She also drove a bright yellow Pinto with black bat wings painted on the sides. I was nice to her, and then she started STALKING me. Waiting outside my door at 2am screaming, "SWEETHEART! SWEETHEART! WHY WON'T YOU COME TALK TO ME? SWEEEEEEETTTTTHEEEEEAAART!"
(OK. I know what you are thinking...but I had ZERO physical contact with her.)

After having her cut off the paws of some small animal (gopher? squirrel?) and putting them on my doorstep (what does THAT mean?), taking out an ad in the newspaper to get tickets right behind my date for a Journey concert (she had seen the row and seat number on my tickets) so she could just stare at us the whole time, rearending a car that she thought was mine (but wasn't)...I finally screamed at her, "DEBBIE GO AWAY! If Mohammed won't go to the mountain, that does not mean the mountain should come to Mohammed! I DON'T LOVE YOU!"

Do you know what she said? "You can't run away from love."

This is the oldest of the songs I've written that we still play. I used to like the creepy theme of the song until I heard Sarah McLachlan's "Possession." It's hard for me to sing this song now, since Sarah nailed it and did it better than I did...but as long as people still like this version, we'll still play it.
