1. She breaks tradition, but she’s not afraid of rules A contradiction of everything that’s cool She threatens egos while moving cons to pro She’s Wonder Woman, but she is alone. Don’t wade shallow, her waters are deep. Both hard and fragile, she’s a mystery. *She’s nothing like a lady She says love’d make her crazy She’s nothing like a lady, but she’s the girl of my dreams. 2. She’s independent, but a little insecure. She’s been upended by things she thought were sure She is frustrated by the image and act She’s stirring hornets with her bare hands. She’s not the safe choice. She’s got dangerous moods. But I’ve seen her shine like a diamond. Maybe I’m a fool. *She’s nothing like a lady She says love’d make her crazy She’s nothing like a lady, but she’s the girl of my dreams. Years ago, my songwriter friend Greg Stevenson told me he had a song called, "Nothing Like A Lady." I started laughing and told him that had to be the rudest title I had ever heard. He was confused and sang me his song that "there's nothing like a lady" to make you feel great. Oops. I thought he meant that his girlfriend was nothing like a lady or was a drag queen.
Well, apologies to Greg, but I stole his title and wrote the song with my own spin on it.
