* Cast your doubt into the ocean. Sail your fears on out to sea. No ones asked you to walk on water. Come on, take a dive in the River of Dreams. 1. Lets pretend its Gilligans Island. Ill profess. You be Maryanne. Well take a cruise on the Love Boat. Laugh at Isaacs corny jokes. And waterski our way to Disneyland. * Cast your doubt into the ocean. Sail your fears on out to sea. No ones asked you to walk on water. Come on, take a dive in the River of Dreams. 2. You fear the sharks around you Youve just seen Jaws too many times. This aint no Daggobah. Leave the Wizard back in Oz. Kick off the ruby shoes and youll feel fine. + Dive in. Take a swim. Dive into love. GUITAR SOLO 3. Your faith is slowly sinking. Youve waited too long on the shore. Rent a yellow submarine. Take the Bradys snorkeling. Come on in, my dear, the waters warm. * Cast your doubt into the ocean. Sail your fears on out to sea. No ones asked you to walk on water. Come on, take a dive in the River of Dreams. Come on, take a dive in the River of Dreams Words: Steve Stewart Music: Steve Stewart & John Beck 1998

The lyrics were written in about ten minutes. I kind of just free associated thoughts of American pop culture and water images...TV reruns and movies that fascinated me. (Either that, or I was trying to write a theme song for Speilberg's DIVE! restaurants in a blatant sell-out attempt to get Dreamworks Records to sign our band. Stuff art. Let's dance!)
