HEY VOLUNTEERS!
We now have more than enough volunteers! 25 people signed up to help buy presents. (Please see attached list) The FACOST Youth Committee and Youth Is The Future Foundation (Thanks Ann! ) in coordination with JPMorgan Chase will work together on this project. The Salvation Army Wishtree is a wonderful project and for many of the children, this is the only present they receive on Christmas. This fun project and will definitely put all of us in great holiday spirit.
Project: Salvation Army Wishtree Shopping
Meeting Time: 11:00 AM
Meeting Location: Super Wal-mart, Hwy 6 and 90
Purpose: Buy presents for 50 Salvation Army Wishtree Children (babies
to 15 year olds). JPMorgan Chase will pay for the presents.
Instructions
1.) Meet at Wal-Mart at 11 AM
2.) Split into groups of four to select items for their Wishtree Children.
3.) All children will receive a full outfit and two toys (spend $50 to $75 on each child)
4.) The tags already indicate all the info for the child: Age, Gender, Clothing Type, Shirt Size, Pants Size, Dress Size, Coat Size, Shoe Size, Underwear Size, Toy Request.
5.) Meet at the register and I'll pay for the items with my corporate card.
6.) After we finish, we'll eat lunch somewhere - McDonald's or Pizza - courtesy of JPMC.
7.) We should be done with everything (shopping and eating) by 1:30 pm.
8.) If you would like to help out a little longer, I need help sorting the presents at my house that afternoon. To make the sorting process easier I will bring labels so that we can label who the presents go to while we shop.
