Saracina (?) was well documented, but her parentage is unknown.1 Claim: Fruela Gonzalez (great-grandfather of Alfonso V's queen) marries Saracina, whose name indicates muslim descent. Discussion: Recent hypothesis based on onomastics. Possibility suggested, but not supported by Evans. Saracina herself is well documented, but her parentage is unknown. As numerous muslim names (Abolmundar, Saracino, Abd 'al-Malic, Zayd/Cid etc) seem to have acrued to the local mozarab, and even christian families, a conclusion such as this based solely on her name is not prudent. The family of Fruela tended (strongly) to marry within a narrow kinship, comprised of the descendants of brothers Osorio and Hermengildo Gutierrez, brothers Diego and Ero Fernandez, and Count Alfonso Betote, and the name Saracino appears a century before in these families, so no immediate muslim ancestors need enter the picture to explain the use of this name. (Whether the earlier appearance of Saracino in this family suggests an even earlier muslim connection must be left to speculation, as documentation is so slim as to prevent such conclusions from being supported.) - taf.1 Also called N. Also called Otto.3 Pietro II, doge di Venezia was born circa 961 in Venice, Italy.4 He was the son of St. Pietro Ors�olo I, doge di Venezia and Felicitas di Malpiero.5,6 He married Maria Candiano, daughter of Vitale Candiano , doge della Repubblica di Venezia, before 983.7 He was elected, at the young age of thirty, to be Doge in 991.8,2 26th Doge of Venice between 991 and 1008.8,9,10 He was a statesman, warrior, and diplomatist of genius.11 He negotiated with Basil II the most favorable trade deal Venice ever had with the Byzantine Empire, with an imperial chrysobul undertaken to admit bone fide Venetian goods at tariffs far lower than normal in March 992.12 He good friends with the Emperor Otto III in 996.12 He was the head of one of the mightiest naval powers in the Middle Ages circa 1000.13 He initiated what is the oldest Venetian festival, the Festival of the Ascension, in 1000. Duke of Dalmatia in Northern Adriatic Sea, between 1000 and 1009. He set out with a great fleet to subjugate the Slav Pirates, the Uscoks, that operated from the shelter of the Dalmatian Coast, and on defeating them took the title of Duke of Dalmatia on 9 May 1000. He associated his older son to the ducal throne circa 1002.14 He relieved the Saracen siege of the Byzantine city of Bari, the largest and most important greek community on the peninsula, by blockading the Saracen fleet, bringing provisions to the starving city, and after a three day battle outside the harbor, putting the aggresors to flight on 6 September 1002.15 He associated his younger son, Otto, with the ducal throne circa 1006.14 He left a will in 1006; He left the bulk of his possessions to the Church and poor.14 He died in 1008 in Venice. He withdrew to a remote wing of the palace, seperating himself even from his wife. He died two years later.14

La croce, appartenuta al re longobardo Desiderio, � conservata nel Museo civico dell�et� cristiana di Brescia: � in vetro dorato di pregevolissima fattura alessandrina, e reca incastonato il presunto ritratto (ma l�identit� dei personaggi � tutt�altro che certa) di Galla Placidia con i figli Valentiniano e Onoria, del V secolo.

Papa Stefano III che progett� la falsificazione della Donazione di Costantino, (il quale aveva gi� trasmesso i Suoi Carismi e la Sua Eredit� ai ai figli Costanzo e Galla Placida da cui Re Desiderio e i Reges Potiores). Stefano III, autore di anatemi e messe nere contro la dinastia di Re Desiderio, lasci� anche diversi anatemi. E' chiaro che fu responsabile del ripudio di Ermengarda, spodestando la Dinastia Merolitinga di Re Desiderio che teneva per se il Potere Temporale e il Potere Spirituale. Il figlio di Re Desiderio, Re Adelchi, spos� Gisla Sorella di Carlo Magno. King Poto fu battezzato quale "Rex Langobardorum et Romanorum, Patricius Romanorum et defensor Romanorum, Despotus Bisancii". Il Rango di Patricius Flavius Jovius Gaius Teodatus o Teodosius, viene spesso interscambiato con il nome di Adelchi o Adalgiso o Adelchis e di Poto, che nell'Opera dell' Adelchi viene detto Baudo da Manzoni, quale traduzione di Gaius, Rango Divino. Basta infatti spigolare tra gli atti della Cancelleria di Re Desiderio, Regina Ansa, Re Adelchi e Re Poto per rendersi conto che conformemente all' uso Longobardo Adelchi antepone al Suo nome l'Epitome Flavius Adelchis o Adalgiso. La reggenza � esercitata in comunione tra i membri familiari.
Da King Poto ha origine la Dinastia Poto o Poti di Castello Puoti o Castel Poto, feudo di Giovanni Maria Puoti. Anche lo storico Nicola Lettieri 1700 spiega che la Dinastia Puoti era detta Poto o Poti e discende da King Poto, Despota et Patricius Bisantii. La chiesa della Pitra Santa a Napoli, riporta lapicidi antichi sulla Tomba di un giovane Sacerdote Antonio Puoti, o Poti, della Nobilissima Prosapia di Re Desiderio.
La Regina Ansa (spesso detta Axa che traduce asse o Staffa), era figlia di King Caractago Re Pengrom del Galles.
Dai Pendragom del Galles ebbe origine la Dinastia der Weibil da Aubri o Avril nipote di Re Dagoberto II, e figlio di Adela, da cui la Dinastia Avril de Saint Genis de Burey Anjou.
La madre di Ansa era Ghisela Iltrude Ansafreya (der Staufer), linea da cui trasse Origine la Stoffensi Domo, ossia gli Hohenstaufen. Quapropter et beatus Petrus princeps apostolorum, cui regni caelorum claves a domino Deo traditae sunt et caelo ac terra ligandi solvendique concessa est potestas, firmiter excellentiam vestram per nostram infelicitatem obtestatur; simulque et nos una cum omnibus episcopis, presbiteris et ceteris sacerdotibus atque cunctis proceribus et clero sanctae nostrae ecclesiae, abbatibus etiam et universos religiosas divino cultui deditis seu optimatibus et iudicibus vel cuncto nostro Romanorum istius provintiae populo sub divini iuditii obtestatione vos adoramus per Deum vivum et verum, qui est iudex vivorum et mortuorum, et per eius ineffabilem divinas maiestatis potentiam atque per tremendum futuri iuditii diem, ubi omnes principes et potestates et cunctum umanum genus cum tremore assistere habebimus, nec non et per omnia divina misteria et sacratissimum corpus beati Petri, ut nullo modo quisquam de vestra fraternitate praesumat filiam iam dicti Desiderii Langobardorum regis in coniugium accipere, nec iterum vestra nobilissima germana Deo amabilis Ghysila tribuatur filio saepe fati Desiderii, nec vestras quoquo modo coniuges audeatis dimittere.
Sed magis recordantes, quae beato Petro apostolorum principi polliciti estis, viriliter eisdem nostris inimicis Langobardis resistitae, distringentes eos firmiter, ut propria sanctae Dei ecclesiae Romane rei puplicae reddere debeant, eo quod, omnia quae vobis polliciti sunt transgredientes, nos cotidiae adfligendo et obprimendo non cessant, etiam quia aliquid nobis reddere minime sunt inclinati etiam et nostros invadere fines noscuntur. Et tantummodo per argumentum in praesentia de vestris missis simulant iustitias nobis faciendum; nam nihil ad effectum perducitur, et quicquam ab eis de nostris iustitiis nequaquam recipere valuimus.
Unde ecce, ut cuncti nostri dolores subtiliter vestris auribus suggerantur, direximus nostros missos, videlicet Petrum dilectum fllium nostrum, presbiterum, et Pampylum defensorem regionarium sanctae nostrae ecclesiae, quos et de imminente nobis tribulatione nec non et de singulis causis subtiliter informavimus, vestro regali intimandum culmini. Et petimus, ut solitae benignae eos suscipere nostraeque petitioni vestras a Deo inspiratas aures adcommodare dignemini et amplissimam liberationem atque exaltationem sanctae Dei ecclesiae, spiritalis matris vestrae, et istius a vobis redemte provintiae defensionem perficere iubeatis, ut perfectam remunerationem a iusto iudicae Deo nostro, intercedente eius principe apostolorum beato Petro, suscipiatis.
Praeesentem itaque nostram exhortationem atque adorationem Petri ponentes, et sacrificium super eam atque hostias Deo nostro offerentes, vobis cum lacrimis eadem sacra confessione direximus. Et si quis, quod non optamus, contra huiusmodi nostrae adiurationis atque exhortationis seriem agere praesumserit, sciat se auctoritate domini mei, beati Petri apostolorum principis, anathematis vinculo esse innodatum et a regno Dei alienum atque cum diabolo et eius atrocissimis pompis et ceteris impiis aeternis incendiis concremandum deputatum; ad vero, qui observator et custos istius nostrae exhortationis extiterit, caelestibus benedictionibus a domino Deo nostro illustratus aeternis praemiorum gaudiis cum omnibus sanctis et electis Dei particeps effici mereatur.
