Pie and mash is a traditional cockney food。 He speaks with a cockney accent即「他說話帶倫敦口音」。 (1) A lot of food is wasted every day(每天都有大量食物浪費了)。(2) The shelves were full of health foods(貨物架上滿放著多種健康食物)。 My fingers were nearly mashed by the slamming door即「我的手指差點兒被砰然關上的門砸扁」。 而由於是一起吃的,所以「某些食物and mash」通常當做一種食物,配單數形式動詞,和bread and butter(牛油麵包)、bacon and eggs(薰豬肉和蛋)、fish and chips(炸魚片和薯條)等一樣,例如:I had fried chicken and mash, and it was really tasty(我吃炸雞和薯泥,十分美味)。 |
