談到求職面試，拉娜說：I'm afraid they might think I'm a job hopper。Hop作動詞，是「跳」的意思：用於人，指用單足跳；用於小動物、飛鳥等，指用雙足跳。蚱蜢是用雙足跳躍的，就叫grasshopper。第二次世界大戰期間，西南太平洋盟軍司令麥克阿瑟計劃揮軍由瓜達爾卡納爾島開始，逐步進佔以北一系列島嶼直搗沖繩，這「跳島戰略叫island hopping strategy。今天，旅遊人士由一個島前往另一個島，也叫island-hop，例如：While touring the West Indies, we island-hopped quite a lot（我們旅遊西印度群島期間，常常由一個島到另一個島）。
