1. Go to any half-cut shops or workshop to look for your new engine. (best if accompanied with an experience mechanic to help you choose a good working engine) 1a. If possible make a list of nessary parts to purchase before the conversion work (Blow off valve, Larger Intercooler, Pipings, Hoses, Clutch and Other internal engine parts) As it would be easier to install them before the engine is fitted in your car. Other upgrades such as electronics and gauges can be added at later stage. It is recommended that turbo-charged engines fitted with at least a boost meter. 2. Make sure your new engine capacity is no larger than 25% from the old engine. Otherwise JPJ will properly fuck you up and you have to do alot of bullshit stuffs. 3. Check for the engine serial numbers match with the "kastam" form. 4. After all the conversion work is completed, get your car to PUSPAKOM for check-up. (Puspakom is located in Mak Mandin, Penang) Note: Puspakom will fail those vehicles with coloured head lights, tinted glass, extreme body kits and inefficient braking system. A real fuckup place to go. 5. Get your finance company issue you a letter of approving your engine conversion, if you still owe the bank ( This is for JPJ only ) This must be accompanied by the puspakom report. 6. Go to your local insurance company and notify them of the change. Add money lah.. in other words... 7. With the Puspakom approved test sheet, finance letter, insurance cover note and your 'Car Title' Proceed to JPJ and summit your documents accordingly. ( You must surrender them your old Road Tax in order to get the new one ). Duration to wait for JPJ 10 working days. 8. You can now boost away with your new found power! Cheers! 9. Always be save on the road. Don't drive like an idiot! |
