• There are more than 60 Irish, Celtic and Folk (with Irish focus) Music Festivals across Europe annually (not including St.Patrick's Day Events).
• St.Patrick’s Day Festivals, Parades and events take place in almost every European Country, from Russia to Iceland, Ukraine to Luxembourg. Most of the 1,100 plus Irish Pubs across Europe have special ‘Paddy’s Day’ Events.
• Copenhagen Irish Festival and Oslo Irish Music Festival are 2 of the largest Irish Music Festivals in Europe.
• There are Interceltique Festivals in Lorient (France),  Oporto Portugal, Barcelona (Spain), and Kracow (Poland).
• Netherlands has famous Keltisch/Irish Festivals in Berger op Zoom, Apeldoorn, Maas, and Den Haag
• There’s an International Folklore Festival in Belgium, a Whiskey Festival in Holland, Bodhrán Festivals and an Irish Spirits Festival in Germany,  Harp Festivals in France & Switzerlands, Fleadh in Italy,  ‘Beltaine’ Feast of Celtic Culture in Czech Republic.

• There are Irish Dancing schools and Competitions (Feiseanna) in most European Countries from Poland to Finland, Belgium to Spain, Czech Republic to Italy.
• Nordic Countries of Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia have more than 30 Irish Dance Schools and groups.
• North Europe hosts the Nordic Feis of Irish Dancing
• Poland has more than 14 Irish Dancing groups and Schools, such as Setanta from Warsaw, and Comhlan from Kracow.
• Warsaw Feis should not be missed for Irish dance & Music.
• Czech Republic has the Rinceoirí Irish Dance Club, one of at least 8 in the region.

• Ireland did not qualify to compete in 2002 Eurovision Song Contest, which was held in Estonia.
• This year Ireland are back, and will be one of 26 countries competing in Latvia, last year’s winners.
• Ireland is hosting ‘You’re a Star’ to select the singer, (now down to 3 singers from 5000), while a select group chose which song each of the singers has received as their Euro-song entry…

• BirkinTree is just one of many Italian Irish Trad-music bands.

• Dun an Doras is a Czech Irish band, one of at least 12 in the country.

• Shantalla is one of the best Irish Trad bands in Europe, the band comes from Belgium.

• Claddagh Irish Music Band comes from Poland

• Orthodox Celts is a great band, which comes from Yugoslavia.

• Heartlands Irish Music band hails from Luxembourg.

• One of the best Parisian Jazz bands is Paddy Sherlock’s Irish-French Jazz Band.

• Kelteig come from Slovakia, Celtic Spirit from Austria.

• There are over 15 Irish Pubs in Poland.

• Berlin has one of the highest densities of Irish Pubs in Europe, with more than 40.
