Her blue eyes awaken with glee. Kay sat up and stretched casually. She yawned sweetly and is disturbed that Eric hasn’t returned. She left the bed undone and entered her bathroom. She ran the water smoothly and soughed deeply.

“Eric, please don’t abandon me. Not on a time like this . . . my mother and father would be disappointed if you don’t show up.” Kay mumbled.

She stepped into her shower and tried to focus on what’s ahead of her. Eric drove up and turned the ignition off. He grumbled and hated the fact that he yelled at Kay. He knew he was wrong and contemplated on some serious action; which need to be made.

“I surely hope she’ll like this . . .”

“Eric . . . there’s something I want to discuss with you . . .”

Eric faced her and saw the grave expression on his beautiful wife’s face.

“Yes, Kay?” He plopped on the bed comfortably. Kay twiddled her fingers nervously and is afraid of how he would react.

“Eric, today is my parents’ anniversary and I was wondering are you coming with me and Madeline?” Kay had the courage to ask him. Eric batted his eyes at her.
