Escapade Build Report

Now the fiberglass can be painted.  In this picture, the wingtips and the cowling have already been primed and sprayed with the first white coat.  The blue is the first of several coats of the color to give it that "metallic" look.

Since we are painting some other parts, we also decided to touch up some areas on the airplane itself.  Here the left aileron gets a fresh coat.

Here the wing tip is painted, installed and the Nav/Strobe light is connected.

We are going to use wood to go around the control sticks and hand brakes.  We are hoping this will give it stability and we will also use it to put our headset jacks down along the angled section of the wood.

Here, a front view of the airplane shows the landing lights in the lower opening of the cowling.  The oil pressure sender is also visible in the left top opening.
