Escapade Build Report

This picture shows our fiberglass wingtips with the mounts for the Nav/Strobe lights glued into place.  Dale is doing the fiberglass work for us and the mounts will be blended right in with the wing tips before painting.

The finished panel.  We got a piece of aluminum which can be cut to fit included with the kit but decided to go with a homemade wood instrument panel.  The ASI, Altimeter, and Turn & Bank are all Falcon gauges.  The square instrument is an Aveo E-1 and houses all the engine instruments needed including Tachometer, voltmeter, oil temperature, oil pressure, CHT, EGT, and many other options.  The two red dots below the Aveo are warning lights which will blink when a reading has dropped below or exceeded a preset limit for any of the engine instruments. The radio is an ICOM A200 with 760 channels and flip-flop capability.  Directly below the radio is the Flightcom 403mc intercom.  Under the intercom is the panel mount control for the Ameri-King ELT, which we mounted on the rear mounting plate in the fuselage.  All the way to the right is the Hobbs hour meter which will hopefully be counting hours soon.  On the bottom left is the key switch and push button starter.  The switches, fuses and 12V power source are all basic equipment out of the Aircraft Spruce catalog.
