This site is about us, about all of us, about all the holders of our family name in its many variations.  It would be somewhat difficult to decide which of our names has the most legitimate association with our common ancestors of 1200 AD - there are now in 2000 AD about twenty versions descending from an original group of about six.

With the development of the WWW, much information is now available for our research - sometimes too much.  The first time I typed Celts into a search engine, I got about 1000+ references.  Surfing through a few, I noticed an abysmal lack of research, and what can only politely be described as an unusual degree of literacy.  That said, I would like to add that a professional I aint, I am lately come to the practice of research and find it fascinating.

In certain areas, such as in Celts, so much research has been done on these ancient migrants, that it would be difficult to zero in on a particular geographical Celtic group and say that these are our Celts in their day, they spread themselves all over much of Europe.  Some research into the early Celts in Ireland is not for the squeamish; gentle, well-mannered and/or scholarly they were not.

Links are indicated throughout the website where I have found articles to be of interest or where their contents may have had a historical relevance to our development as
ErinIslanders, wherever we may now be living.  Where I have taken articles from books or magazines, links to those sources have also been identified.

As the site develops, we may be able to include areas for individual genealogies there are many professional software programs available for this purpose.

Future
Erinisles2000 developments will include a Message Board.Any feedback about any part of the site will be greatly appreciated.
