Band

Dinand Woesthoff (vocals&guitar) : born on the 6th of September 1972.
Music has always been very important for him and he has been in many bands before Kane. He studied architecture and also had his own beachclub with some friends where lots of bands performed. In 1997 he started the band Seven Days with 3 other guys that changed into Kane, which he started with Dennis van Leeuwen. Except writing all the songs for Kane he also wrote a song for Dutch singer Anouk and another Dutch band Volumia.

Dennis van Leeuwen (guitar) : born on the 24th of January 1971.
Dennis has studied law and used to work in a musicstore. He began to play the guitar when he was about 12 years old and he got a tape with Jimi Hendrix on it, that was his big inspiration. He once said that the song Little Wing from Hendrix is one of the best reasons to start playing guitar. Along with Dinand he is responsible for the songs on their debutalbum As Long As You Want This and they wrote the music together for the song Hold On To The World on their cd So Glad You Made It.

Martijn Bosman (drums) : born on the 8th of October 1966.
He's the 4th drummer in the history of Kane and seems to be a stayer. Martijn has played in loads of Dutch bands and when he joined Kane he also did some things with the band Dyzack. But now Kane is gonna try to breakthrough in Europe, he has to give that up.

Nico Brandsen (keyboard) : born on the 7th of August 1960.
Nico has been playing with Kane for years, but recently really joined the band. Before and during Kane he was in a lot of other bands, the last one was Olabola (2000-2005, together with Ro Krom) with who he even was the support act of Kane during the Java-eiland gig in Amsterdam. Nico also played already with Martijn and new bassplayer Manuel Hugas in other bands like, De Grote Muf (a band that plays all sorts of music) and Ro's&Paradise Funk (the follow-up of Gotcha, an another old band of Martijn and others including Ro Krom and old Kane-guitarplayer Paul Jan Bakker). Nico has played with a lot of other Dutch artists including Ilse DeLange and Marco Borsato and played on the albums of Anouk, Golden Earring and Billy The Kid.

Manuel Hugas (bassguitar) : born on the 30rd of May 1968.
Manuel would actually join the band before, around 2003 when Matto Kranenburg left Kane he already did a couple of gigs witht the band. He started playing drums when he was six and switched to bassguitar when he was around fifteen. Rock doesn't seem to be his biggest love, his first influences were jazz (like Mile Davis) and later on soulmusic (Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder). He has toured with a lot of people including Candy Dulfer and Trijntje Oosterhuis. He also is a teacher at the popmusic-part of the music-conservatory in Amsterdam since 2003.

Former bandmembers

Cyril Cyril Directie (drums) : born on the 3rd of October.
The drummer Kane got succesfull with in Holland and who left the band in the beginning of 2001. Before Kane he played in the Dutch band Total Touch and people from the 'bizz' says he's a multi-talented drummer. During his time at Kane he was also wellknown for the loads of crazy faces he pulled behind his kit :) After leaving Kane he joined the band from Dutch female singer Birgit.

Andre Andre Kemp (drums) : born on 31st March.
Another drummer who didn't stay in the band, he filled the gap that Cyril left but only stayed a couple of months. Before they started working on their album So Glad You Made It he was replaced by present drummer Martijn Bosman. Before Kane he was in Dutch rockband Billy the Kid and after leaving the band he started teaching on a 'drum-school'.

Aram Aram Kersbergen (bassguitar) : born on 22nd August 1971.
He studied at the Rotterdam conservatory and passed with excellent marks. Then went on tour with saxophoneplayer Candy Dulfer, The Tramps and Gloria Gaynor. He also worked on a lot of cd's as a studio-musician and made two albums with his own band Hips. He left Kane in March 2002 to spent all his time playing in the Metropole Orchestra.

Tony Tony Cornelissen (akoustic guitar&backing vocals) : born on 21st September 1968.
Before Kane he had his own internetcompagny which he had to give up for the band. He played with Kane but can't be seen in their first video's cause it was till after that, that he officially joined it. He also wrote a song for another Dutch rockband and now he'll continue with doing that. Since 2001 he also has his own professional website with some other people.

Ronald Ronald Kool (keyboard) : born on 28th May 1969.
He joined the band when Kane did the Flashbacktour, in which Dutch artist perform songs of their fave band. Kane 'flashbacked' to U2 and needed a keyboardplayer. Before Kane he was in the band from a Dutch singer en also wrote a song together with Aram Kersbergen for another Dutch female singer. When he was playing with Kane he was also busy with jazzprojects and now he'll spents all his time on that.

Paul Jan Bakker (guitar) : born on 7th July 1968.
This guitarplayer used to be in the band from Anouk, the singer where Dinand wrote a song for. He already played with Kane on a Dutch awardsshow in April 2001 but officially joined the band when they were starting to record So Glad You Made It months after that. Except that he's a great musician he also can do hilarious impressions from Al Capone and others.

Matto Kranenburg (bassguitaar) : born on 18th September 1967.
He's the newest member from Kane and joined the band in March 2002 when 3 members left. Matto used to be in the Dutch band Handsome3Some and with this band he already was the support act from Kane for a tour about a year ago. Besides playing he also can do backing vocals and has done some singing-session in a famous bar in The Hague in Holland.

Dion Murdock (basgitaar) : born on the 21st of February 1966.
The American bassplayer who joined the band after the auditions in 2003. Before Kane he played in the band Mothers Finest and did a worldtour with Macy Gray. He doesn't only play bass but can also play guitar and drums and has worked as a songwriter.
