Silpheed: The Lost Planet Distributed by: Working Designs
Remembering how much I enjoyed the original release of this game back in the 1980s for the PC, I was nothing short of floored by the astoundingly impressive remake for the PS2.
At first sight, the graphics are the obvious major improvement over the original. However, the game wonderfully delivers all the intense gameplay enjoyed by the original, sacrificing not a single ounce like so many other modern day graphically enhanced remakes.
Proving the good old shooter is still alive and kicking, "Silpheed: The Lost Planet" gives us a breathtaking example of what modern technology can bring to a classic title. One certainly not to miss adding to your PS2 collection, this game makes for the perfect tool to sooth even the worst trigger finger itch.
