An absolutely superb racing game for the PS2, "Ridge Racer V" delivers plenty of high adrenaline driving that will have you begging for more and more.
To the newcomer unfamiliar with the series, getting a grip on power sliding corners may take some practice. However, for those familiar with the driving technique, the PS2 graphics and gameplay will awe you, and for those who like using a racing wheel like the Sportster from Pelican Accessories, you are sure to be pleasantly pleased.
Overall, Ridge Racer is certainly one of the finest racing games on the PS1 platform, and its arrival on the PS2 is something to be seen. The only slight disappointment being the lack of variety in the vehicles as well as the courses which for the most part are variations of one large track.
