>This is the complete Silver Surfer animated cartoon series on 3 DVD�s. The Silver Surfer series came out in February 1998 and ran until May 1998; it only had 1 season with 13 episodes. After 13 episodes in the 1st season of the show Marvel had planned a 2nd season with 13 more episodes for The Sliver Surfer. But the 2nd season didn't air because Marvel was facing bankruptcy problems and couldn't afford to air the 2nd season even though the show had good ratings. Another great thing about this show is that all the characters voices are done by the cast of the X-Men cartoon.

Synopsis of the series:
When the planet of Zenn-La is under attack by Galactus, a cosmic entity obsessed with satisfying his undying hunger by consuming planet abundant with life, a man known as Norrin Radd bargains to stop him. He offers to help find planets fit for consumption yet not containing life, the herald of Galactus. Galactus accepts the offer and empowers him with the power cosmic, as well as removing the memories of his humanity, thus creating the Silver Surfer. The Surfer serves as the faithful servant to Galactus until a confrontation with the evil Thanos awakens his memories of his home planet and his love Shalla Bal. After defending Earth from Galactus, the Surfer is allowed to go out on his own only to discover that an angry Galactus has moved Zenn-La into an unknown area of space. Now facing isolation, hatred from those whose planets he helped destroy, and an ever present threat from Galactus, the Silver Surfer roams through space seeking out his home and helping those he meets along the way.
