"...Secretary for Security Mr. Ambrose Lee yesterday in the Legco replied to Questions From Legislators: Last year police on average received about 20 cases per month from Hong Kong citizens requesting help for detention in Mainland China. In the first 9 months of this year, police on average received increases per month to 30. Most happened in Shenzhen. Many involed business and private disputes...

"...Mainland China and Hong Kong signed CEPA (Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement), allowing joint operation of law firms from the two places, and Hong Kong lawyers limited practice in Mainland etc. Hong Kong legal sector is happy to try out. A well-established law firm took the lead in announcing a joint operation agreement with a Mainland law firm. There is lot of business opportunities awaiting us.
