So, who am I?

I am a senior at the University of Memphis, majoring in Managment Information Systems and minoring in Logitistics & Supply Chain Management. Not the most exciting of degrees, but I had to choose something, heh.

I've spent my entire life living Memphis, TN. I am an Eagle Scout from Troop 487 at Grace Presbyterin Church. I am very proud of that accomplishment, especially since I had taken a 2 year break from scouting but returned, worked like crazy and earned my Eagle Rank just prior to the cutoff date, one's 18th birthday.

In high school, I was into clubs and sports, but soccer was by far my favorite. I played at Christian Brothers High School (9th) and Saint Benedict High School (11th, 12th). At Saint Benedict, I played the position of Goalkeeper and received the team MVP my senior year. In addition, two of my close friends and teammates, Jeff Perlman and David Semrau, and myself were named to the Commercial Appeal's "Best of the Preps" All-Metro Soccer Team in 1997.

In college, I met a great group of guys that totally dispelled my stereotypes of fraternities. The group of note was the Gamma Delta Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity at the University of Memphis. I pledged my freshman year and was elected to be Treasurer of my pledge class. After initiation, I was elected to the position of Sergeant at Arms of the Standards Board. After that term had concluded, I was elected to the position of Chaplain and off all the elected positions I held, Chaplain was my favorite. I was in charge off all rituals, chapter morale and the initiation ritual. I was then elected to the position of Chapter President when my term as Chaplain had ended. During my term as President, the chapter earned the Champion Master Award from the National Office of Pi Kappa Phi. The Champion Master Award goes to each of the top three chapter of Pi Kappa Phi, in the National Organization's eyes. I was really worn down after my term as President, but I was elected to the position of Executive Secretary. I established a fraternity site for my chapter, which will be on my Portfolio page, and set up some additional communication methods. Now, I'm currently an alumni of the chapter, finishing up my degree.

I plan to graduate in May '05 with my Management Information Systems degree, or maybe as late as Fall '05 if I continue with the Logisitics & Supply Chain Management minor.

Hobbies

--Paintball is my current hobby of choice. I absolutely love its intensity, adrenaline and tactical nature. I got introduced to the sport by an old friend of mine around my junior year in high school.. He was always good at being able to talk me into spending my money on something, hehe. But, I'm glad that he talked me into paintball. I've owned probably 20 different paintball guns during the last 7 years that I've been playing. I recently sold my Chris Lasoya Edition Intimidator ($1350.00) with a 14" OTP G-1 barrel.Lasoya - View 1 Lasoya - View 2 Lasoya - View 3 Lasoya - View 4 Lasoya - View 5
because I stepped up and bought a DM4 ( Dye Matrix 4) with an Egi Board. The DM4 is stupid fast. My brother liked mine so much that he just bought himself a DM4 as well. Mine is dust, or matte, black and his is glossy red. I'll have to post pics, but we swapped gun parts so we both have black/red DM4s now. The Intimidator and the DM4 are both considered the best paintball guns on the market and they are capable of shooting 25+ paintballs per second and they have electronic eyes inside the chamber that prevent the gun from shooting until the paintball has completely loaded into the chamber... so you never chop a ball in half anymore. I also have a Sniper II pump Autococker, that I use when I don't want to spend a lot of money on paintballs. I'll be sure to post some pics of them below. I also play at the Paintball Park (http://www.memphispaintball.com)in Memphis,TN, so if you're in the neighborhood... stop by and play

-- Training is a newly found hobby of mine. I do a mix of weight lifting, running, muay thai kickboxing and cardio. I workout with Big Dave (http://www.BeingBigDave.com) four times a week. We have a pretty solid routine now, we start with 10 mins of elliptical cardio and then we hit the weight room for an hour and half not taking more than a minute between sets or machines. After the weight room, we hit the elliptical cardio machines for at least 30 minutes and then we finish up the gym visit with some Muay Thai Kickboxing training. We use the Bas Rutten Mixed Martial Arts Workout, I highly suggest that you go to his site and check out the routine and demos. (http://www.basrutten.tv)

-- Video Games are still addictive to me at the ripe old age of 25. I have owned everything from an original 8 bit Nintendo to a Xbox, which is what I currently play. MY two favorite games to play online with the Xbox are Halo2 and Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball. However, my favorite game of all right now is the Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball game. I formed a team,
Team -=EZPaintball.com=-
, that plays in the Greg Hastings League at Gamebattles.com and we've peaked on as high as 15th in the world out of 700 teams, with victories over several top 10 ranked teams. When I need a break from GHTP, thats when I'll pop in some Halo 2 and I just blow stuff up. This is very dorky, but I readily admit that I'm a dork, but you can check my Halo 2 stats here.I also play numerous games online with my computer. My favorite game online with my computer is Asheron's Call (). It amazing, it is an online, virtual world that is constantly on whether you are playing or not. Thousands of others play online with you, the game is what is known as a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game. I've been playing it for several years now, several of my cousins played and they introduced me to it. Once I started to play alot, I'd meet them in game to hang out or to go do stuff in the game. However, I'm also a sucker for a few games of Digital Paintball (http://www.digitalpaintball.net). It helps to give me a taste of paintball whenever I want it, even when I can't make it out to the Paintball Park (http://www.memphispaintball.com)to play.
