After the end of the war Marlene and Yuji attempt to build their lives, for their own sake and for the sake of their unborn baby.
Personal Comments - After all of the awful things poor Marlene and Yuji go through in the show, I wanted to show them having a happy ending. At the same time, the war had to have some kind of effect on them, hence the reason why there is some angst in the fic.

An alternate ending to episode 20 - Versus. What if Marlene could not save Yuji from the B Cells? What if he, like Tony and Alicia, was already too far gone?
Personal Comments - Episode 20 was the very first episode I ever saw. Talk about first impressions! I thought Yuji was so cool, but I quickly realized that this wasn't the way he normally is. Even after his psychosis ended and he reverted back into the sweet Yuji I found him strangely endearing. After watching the earlier episodes, it kind of made this episode even more sad because of all the terrible things that drove him to this point. Ultimately I wondered what would have happened if Marlene couldn't save him, and was inspired to write this fic.
