Vile, Zero and the background were drawn, scanned and colored separately. Finally, they were added together, shaded, Zero's sword and the craptastic charging on Vile's canon was added, and finally, the blue and white gradient. It was one of my first attempts to draw a decent background.
This one was drawn with pencil, inked with technical pens and colored with standard LePlumeII markers. This was done around mid 2002, before I discovered Adobe Photoshop. The picture is incomplete and will probably remain as so.
Both of these drawing were done as part of the "Capcom Final" project. Once each individual image was colored, I slapped on a gradient background and saved it separately. The colored image without the background was then added to the project, where shading and effects and everything else was later added.
As Zero leaves for battle, Ciel awaits anxiously for his return. This was my first attempt to draw Zero (with the MMZ style) and Ciel. It was hard to get Zero's 'thong' (the white underwear thing) to look cool. Funny enough, that was the most difficult thing about the picture.
