One thing that I have always noticed about major mound sites is that they are close to rivers.  They provided a transportation network, water to drink, fish to eat and a place to clean up after a hard day of moving dirt.

I plan to be cremated and would like to have my ashes scattered here in the Scioto River near an ancient Indian Mound site.
