Meet Our Babies
The Story of their Birth:
We had just moved into the house when we noticed a lot of stray cats. One in particular kept coming to our door, ultimately adopting us. We soon discovered we had befriended a pregnant pussy! We called her Darlin', cause she is.
A couple months and a housewarming party later, Doug went out of town on a business trip, and Darlin' was creating a ruckus meowing and demanding attention. Donald decided to let her sleep with him and she curled right up on the pillows. Donald awoke to feel something wet and mushy on his arm. Thinking the cat had an accident, he picked up what he thought was excrement and tossed it across the bed on his way to wash up. Upon his return, he discovered that Darlin' (now Mama) had given birth right beside him to two adorable kittens!
Mama and kittens went into a box we had prepared for them, and the sheets went into the washing machine. Next morning, Donald discovered three little baby kitties.
