How often and in what ways do you use the Internet in your other classes? Do you find articles, access databases, download graphics and multimedia files, or surf pages related to your topic of research?
Do you use the Net for other classes? If so, which are they? Describe the course and how you used the Net for whatever assignment or project. Be specific.
= Internet is used in most of the classes nowadays. For example, in one of my major classes, I need to search for the biography of an author. Sometimes reference found on the Net help understand the piece of literature.
Photo of the writers are fascinating to look at and writings of other students give new perspectives.
How helpful was the Net? Was it more useful than if you had used conventional means, e.g., finding books and periodicals in the library?
=The Net is useful because you can find anything you want with just the right keyword. It saves time by avoiding the labor of going through all the papers.
However, it is annoying when you find the information and you cannot get access to it unless you subscibe or pay for it. There still is the matter of leak and abuse of personal data.
Would it help if core classes in your major, or general education classes at Ewha were online?
=It may be conveinent in some ways if core classes at Ewha were provided online. However, I prefer the analog way. First of all, it is very tiring for the eyes to read everything from the screen and it will be twice the work if I had to print everything. Second of all, it is easier to have things in hand. Although you can access the Internet very easily in Korea than anywhere else, it is troublesome to check the Internet all the time for many people.
Would you like to see other English or other language courses online? If so, what would they be?
=It will be helpful if language courses that are not as widely spread as English were provided online. Personally, I love Spanish. Since it is not as popular as Japanese or Chinese, it'd be great if good Spanish classes were more available through the Net.
