Gillis is THRILLED with Bailey and by the time Bailey settled he was whining for Gillis to come over to him ... wonderful trip back ... I did NOT give directions so Gene stayed right on track LOL .... We were a "few hours late" because I turned us around the wrong way ... I will send the pictures of the two meeting ... so sweet ... only problem is Gillis will NOT leave Bailey's crate long enough to EAT ... I am certain  THAT will pass ... Gene is feeding him in the living room ... that may not sound bad but for the newbies Gillis eats raw meat and bones ....not neat dry dog food.... he eats a bite then goes over to the crate sniffs and then returns for another bite ....we have a male mommy here.....he is a little too strong with the "nose bumps" ... but eases up when we say "gentle" .... I almost fell and Gillis simply looked at me and went bacl to his new friend so I guess I will be using my cane or Rion/Gene until Gillis decides to get back to work ... LOL.... this is wonderful ... puppy breath for five hours .....ahhhhhhhhh

******************************************************************************

Well we got home late .. stopped about several times coming home... beautiful ride ...and Bailey cried for about five minutes then I decided he must be hungry and I opened the box of food Lisa and Ernie had given us... he ate that DRY!!! ,,,, and the went to sleep ...in my lap ...next to the carrier. Rion awakened the sleeping puppy several times to take him or to give him back to me  LOL ... then we stopped for food and Bailey was VERY interested in the chicken Gene had and so he had some chicken ... and some water ... and a bathroom break ... all and all a wonderful trip. When we got home first Bailey had to meet my 90 year old Mother; THEN we had to tear him away from her... and introduce Gillis and Bailey in her yard. Gillis was very interested but a bit shy about "what" Bailey was and then Bailey woke up and let out a little yelp... and Gillis was HOOKED ...none of the outside picture turned out  SO now we have something else I need to work on ;-( I have attached the few of the pictures taken inside. It is safe to say that Gillis has a new best friend. He loves Bailey and at first Bailey was barking at him and growling then suddenly at 1:30am Bailey decided that Gillis was ok and then he started running around the "down" Gillis .... and Gillis would poke him with his nose ... Bailey would "recover" and jump at Gillis' head ... which Bailey is about the same size .... finally Bailey went into his crate to get a little rest and we closed him in with the broken tomato timer (it ticks but does not DING) and Bailey slept next to my side of the bed so I could nudge Gene to get up when Bailey needed something LOL  LOL ... I'm laughing .....the third time.. Gene was NOT ... Bailey needed to pee pee and on the trip home we had introduced the "puppy pad" and so he went to his puppy pad did his business and was ready to play before he joined his tomato timer back in his crate .... for three hours!!!! good boy ... I had an early day today and was five minutes late to my first appointment  but the client was understanding ... I showed her pictures.... Gillis got into his chair at the office and was snoring!!!  so he must be tired as well.... parent-hood is tough even on adoptive fathers ....!

See the vet tomorrow and we will let you know how it goes.  Bailey is 7 weeks old TODAY ..... happy birthday Bailey .......
