Hi Lisa & Ernie:

Sorry I haven't written in a while. Rambo & Ruby are doing great. Both have had their 1 year ( how time fly's ) heart worm checkups and both were negative. I am absolutely ecstatic that I got these two doberman's. They are without a doubt two of the best dogs anyone could ever hope for.

Rambo tips the scale at 93.8 pounds and Ruby at 78.6 pounds. I think that their weights would be a little higher if they didn't get so much exercise. They are both solid as a rock. They run after one another from morning till dark. It is absolutely amazing to watch them play. It's also amazing to see how much they love one another. There's no doubt that Ruby runs the roost between them two, however Rambo is the aggressor if someone comes on the property or walks by etc. Rambo has let everyone in the neighborhood know that he's here, and don't even think about coming uninvited. Although the dogs have shock collars, there are several neighbors who will not walk by my property if the dogs are out in the front yard.

My oldest son, daughter-in-law and grand-daughter visited back in Sept. for Labor Day weekend. I was a little leery has to how the dogs would be around my grand-daughter. Well, to my pleasant surprise the dogs warmed up to all of them quickly. Another amazing thing to watch was how the dogs followed Cailyn around, anywhere she went those dogs were by her side. My son who owns a boxer was much more than impressed also, he too couldn't believe how the dogs watched over Cailyn. If Cailyn got up and walked anywhere in the back yard the dogs were by her side. My son will most definitely consider a doberman as a future breed of dog.

The only problem I have with the dogs is they keep chewing their beds apart. I have gone through countless numbers of beds, as I want them to be comfortable. However, it's not long after they get a new bed their chewing it to pieces. I've bought beds and removed the inner packing, and replaced it with cedar wood chips...they have lasted the longest but eventually they chew them apart also. Ruby also has a fetish with sitting on her hie legs and scratching holes in the sheet rock walls of the garage with her front paws.

Oh well, I thought I'd drop you guys a line and let you know how the dogs are doing. Of course if anyone inquires where I got the dogs, I will give them your information. Hope you folks are doing well, and wish you a Happy & Healthy Holiday Season.

Rich
