Blast To The Past Mickey and Donald Blast Parade

Mickey as Flash Gordon

For two seasons we took a Blast To The Past. It was one of the favorites of everyone. The first year, at the turnstiles you would receive a game card with changes to win. The game card was multiple choice pertaining to a 50's trivia quiz. You had the chance to win dice for your car mirror, a paddle ball, hula hoop or other prizes.

There was 50' and 60's music playing along Main Street. At the Hub was a jukebox with a Disc Jockey playing all the music from the past. Go to your favorite soda fountain in Carnation on Main Street for a malt. You could see 50's car driving up and down Main Street.

Sax Quintet Car Dapper Dans

The Dapper Dans even updated themselves and got into the act. There was a boy meets girl stage show at Tomorrowland Terrace.

Terrace Stage Show Terrace Stage Show

At night at Videopolis a star from the 50' or 60's would perform. Such as Roy Oberson and Chubby Checker. By day along with the atmosphere talent twice daily would be a parade, below. Probably the most favorite by all, or at least for me, was "The Hop". Dancing, singing, hula hops, motorcycles, the malt shop and confetti...
