1 - Better The Devil You Know
You all know this one already so I
won't bore you with too much info about it. Basically it's a cover of Kylie
Minogue's classic 1990 hit and although it's nowhere near as good as the
original it's still an excellent cover. 10/10.
2 - Stomp
The fabulous new
single which borrows the bassline from Chic's "Everybody Dance". I have
actually heard "Stomp" being sung by someone else so it's not an original
Steps song but it's still fab and is gonna be huge. 10/10.
3 - Summer Of Love
OK, you all know this one too so again I won't bore you with info on it. This
is one of my favourite Steps songs and is one of the best songs on the album.
10/10.
4 - It's The Way You Make Me Feel
Righty, now we get into the stuff you
won't know yet. This is a gorgeous song which is neither a ballad or a typical
Steps track. The only way I can think to describe it is to say it's like a
slightly poppier "Heartbeat". 9/10.
5 - You'll Be Sorry
One of the album's
poppier moments, "You'll Be Sorry" starts of with an intro that isn't
dissimilar to that of "Deeper Shade Of Blue". The chorus is one of the
strongest on the album but isn't quite up to Steps usual standard. H's lead
vocals are superb however and it is a really great track. 9/10.
6 - Learn To
Love Again
I hate myself for saying this but "Learn To Love Again" has to be
the worst song Steps have ever recorded. The song is an instantly forgettable
semi-dance track which doesn't really go anywhere and H's vocals really aren't
suited to it. A huge disappointment. 2/10.
7 - Never Get Over You
Any of you
who went to any of the gigs on the Steptacular tour this year will already
know this track as it's the one that Lisa performed as her solo number. Easily
one of the best tracks on the album, this is very reminiscent of Kylie Minogue
in her later-PWL days. Fab! 9/10.
8 - Hand On Your Heart
No, not another.........
(Sorry, I can't continue this because the computer I was on could only save a certain amount of text or something and so this is all I managed to get, but I shall see if I can get the rest for you soon! - soz again, Daniel.)
