In the mid-80's, Disney began to release their short featurettes under a new series called Mini-Classics, to go along with their animated features in the Classics series.  Some previously released titles were re-packaged for this series and others were new to home video.  Eventually there were a total of 17 different Mini-Classics before they discontinued both series.  Then they began a new series called The Masterpiece Collection for the features, and Favorite Stories for the featurettes, which mostly duplicated the previous series.  There were officially 5 titles released in Japan under the Mini-Classics series and 8 in the U.S.  Although all 17 are available on laserdisc, only 10 of them have the official logo.
