BRETHREN CHURCH. HARRISTOWN ASSEMBLY Drayton Rd & Violet St

2. 70% capacity.
3. Type: Scriptural, fairly smart dressed hands on workers.
4. Socio- Economic Status: Blue collar electricians.
5. Kids? Mostly young families
6. Ages? 0-70

8. Weekly offering? -. (They give $1500 per month to 2 Overseas and 3 Australian missionaries!)

10. Any other interesting information. These are not closed but open Brethren, everyone is welcome.

12. Time service went till. First there is the 9.30-10.30am Bible Study where most people go and continue to the 11am Worship service 60 people which goes for an hour with a cup of tea time for 30 minutes at 10.30am.
13. This and other service times. Only a handful only came to the 11am service.
14. Preacher. There are no "Pastors" in any Brethren church, only elders (unpaid).
15. Feeling of building. Old but warm.
*16. Estimate style of belief. Strongly evangelical which any Baptist, Church of Christ or Charismatic person would enjoy. All Brethrens look at you clueless if you start talking about Charismatic gifts.

*10. Any other interesting information: This dinner is a very popular event and the event goes over really well. The Elders change things till they find something they all like.

12. Time service went till. 6.30pm.
13. This and other service times. 5pm-6.30pm Family tea /dinner 2/7/00 1st Sunday of month followed by meeting at 6.30pm. Weekly meetings 6.30pm for an hour.
*14. Preacher: Industrial Evangelist Geoff Vines (Ex-biker, goes as an "Industrial Chaplain" to small firms too, not big ones. He works with 2 organisations and has a very fruitful ministry resulting in some indirectly coming to Christ. Tells the snake who swallowed the hard boiled egg story and killed himself and an alcoholic came to Christ. He gets called if there's a death and goes to Gladstone Comalco twice a year and does Northgate, lives at Logan.)

10am BRIDGE CHRISTIAN CHURCH at Perth & Hume Sts (formerly "Laguna Function Centre" 189 Hume St, then CWA Hall Margaret St, then St Anthonys Hall Stephen St)

1. NUMBER OF PEOPLE: 30 on 13 Feb 2005. (32 on 6 Apr 2003)
2. NUMBER OF CHAIRS: 45.
3. Type of person: A mix of ex AOG Spring, Trinity, Agape and non- churched.
4. Socio-Economic Status: -.
5. Amount of kids: Six.
6. Ages of people: 6 were 60+.
**7. 50% are men. There were exactly 13 men and 13 women, not counting children. Normally churches have one-third male congregations but this was a first service. If things are perfect, the men tend to stay.
8. Weekly offering published: -.
9. Lateness of people getting to church: 4 at 10.30am.
**10. Any other interesting information: This was the first service of this church. 6 Apr 2003. 3 people were saved, 3 non- church goers got prayer. Pastor said "One woman's operation was cancelled for a mastectomy on Tuesday after we prayed for her on Sunday. She had a pile of test results but the Doctors said the tests were wrong." Also said "We were originally from Toowoomba, we had been living in Perth for years and I believe God has sent us here to act as a BRIDGE between Jesus and anyone who needs a miracle of healing." A medical doctor became a Christian there and testified that she'd swear in a court of law that her foot got miraculously healed the improvement was that noticeable.

14. Preacher: Rev Dr Clive Smith. (Australian evangelist to 3rd world.) (The Pastor is Ps John Burgess. John was a Pastor with the Toowoomba Potter's House from 1993 till 1997. He returned to Perth where he separated from the Perth based Potter's House movement in 2001 where he then evangelised around the world.
15. Feeling of building: Good.
16. Estimate style of belief: That anyone can be healed of diseases. Charismatic. Not specifically Toronto Blessing style. Rev Dr Clive Smith said Feb 2005 "As I did, Potters House came out of Four Square Gospel Church USA, founder Aimee Semple McPherson from Oakland, California in July 1922."
17. Dress code so as not to stand out: Very casual to slightly formal.
18. How to get there: Travel along Hume St and park at the side of the church.

*28. KNOWABLE SONGS: Quite. (Virtually no Hillsongs, Pastor said he once went into a church and Jesus name was not mentioned once in six songs.)

34. Amount of home groups: One. John had a home group for several months before starting. (7pm-8pm home group at Pastor's house where "everyone gets their twenty cents worth and there's lots of fun.")

**42. Have sister churches where? None. It's an independent Charismatic church, not associated with any denomination. John would like to see sister churches come from this church without it being a bible college based program but being more hands on.
