The Fernan Clan will have a grand Reunion in January 2001. The event will be held at the Bogo Central School 1 on January 14 (Sunday). The Reunion is being organised through several committees led by Marcel N. Fernan, Overall Committee Chairman. It has been seven years since the last reunion; see the Photo Album for a photo of the last reunion.
Greetings of peace and love from Bogo, Cebu, home of the FERNANs!
The family get-together that we held last January 1994 in Cebu City etched in our minds beautiful memories of bonding, fellowship and camaraderie which sparked a sense of closeness that can only be ascribed to our common name. The gathering that we had was indeed a wonderful experience for it gave us the opportunity to exchange pleasantries with the members of our clan whom we never knew existed until that family gathering took place. Knowing our relatives and keeping that bond of friendship is indeed our treasure to keep.
After seven long years of that memorable activity, yours truly together with our fellow relatives here in Cebu wishes to bring us together in a FAMILY REUNION so that once again we will have a brand new experience of fellowship which shall further bind us as one FERNAN family.
As in the previous get-together, we have decided to hold this affair in Cebu, particularly at the flourishing municipality of Bogo, where our family originated. Our gathering shall take place at the school fields, Bogo Central School 1 on January 14, 2001 (Sunday), a week before our colorful Sinulog Festival.
We here in Cebu have organized ourselves into committees that shall take charge of the different aspects of the reunion. For those who are coming from places outside Cebu, we have noted that you shall have concerns regarding your hotel/lodging accommodation and transportation from Cebu City to Bogo. Please find attach herewith the list of committees, contact persons with telephone numbers so you may get in touch with them.
In the name of my late father "Celing" who took the cudgels and made that 1994 affair possible, we hope we shall see you again and we look forward to seeing new faces, new additions to our family.
