Many newsgroup attachments contain viruses/trojan horses (like back orfice and netbus). Please use the newsgroups for scanning messages. If you do download files be sure to scan them fully before executing them.

This assumes that you have your browser setup to read NewsGroups, if not you will not be able to goto these places. Just remember the names and use a good program like Forte Free Agent available at www.tucows.com

Newsgroups are a good source of information and question asking/answering. Newsgroups link millions of people together in a forum to discuss issues. They can also be a place to pick up some pirated software/cracks and useful tips! Here are some of the ones I freq a lot.
