Where Are You

In a dream, I was searching the world through;
But you were nowhere to be found, as I looked for you.

I searched the mountains, tracked through the white snow;
I searched the sand of every beach as the moonbeams glow.

I searched through the stars within the night's skies;
Hoping they would point me to where they shone upon your eyes.

I searched every city, knocked upon every door in town;
But I could not find you as I looked the world up and down.

Alas I ask myself where could you be;
Then suddenly I looked and found you within the heart in me.
