A Deschinny loom is the ideal Navajo weaving loom for artists, instructors and students.  Designed for Versatility, Strength and Beauty, Deschinny looms are divided into two categories: Portable and Custom.  All looms share key designs for the ideal experience.

Each loom employees the unique Deschinny Design where the weaver can create a warp and weave using the same frame.  Conventionally, weavers use a warp frame laying flat on the ground to make a warp.  Then, the weaver attaches the warp onto a upright frame, the weaving loom.  In the process, you would need 2 frames to weave.  With the Deschinny Design, the functionality of both frames are combined into one frame.  The Deschinny Design also allows for weaving on both sides of the loom at the same time.  The "feet" of the looms are removeable allowing the Deschinny looms to be easily set-up for warping, storage and to be transported. 

Deschinny looms are "4-in-1" looms. 

1. You can make your warp with loom.

2. You can weave on the front of the loom.

3. You can weave on the back of the loom.

4. Using wrap-over/wrap-under set-up, you can weave up to 2 1/2 times or more the height of the loom. 

Each loom's weaving angle can be tilted away from the weaver's original 90 degrees by 5 degrees or 10 degrees to allow for a more comfortable weaving experience. 

Deschinny looms are constructed using jointed corners for stable and durable frames.  They are created using high quality solid domestic wood.  Deschinny looms are finely finished and protected with oils and waxes to bring out the wood's beauty.  All hardware, weaving and warp dowels are included with each loom along with drawings and a customer instruction manual.
