He mentions Shirazis who were going to East-Africa but stayed in Aden

And in this year a great fire occurred at Adan, the like of which had never been witnessed. It started at the turba of the Sharif Abu Bakr, and it spread towards the east to the mosque Masud Kabir Muhammad and the large awning of Ba Shukayl, and towards the north in the direction of al-Shaykh Djawhar and then to the mosque Ibn Hasan and the quarter of the Makadisha; then it returned towards the east to Suk al-Djrud; this was because it coincided with a strong northerly wind.
Also called Qiladat al-nahr

He mentions the flight of al-Malik Masud b. al-Muayyad al-Ghassany the deposed ruler of Aden to Kilwa (mentioned in the History of Kilwa)

(about Aden) most of the inhabitants of the town are a conglomeration of Alexandria, Cairo (Miir) and the countryside (of south Arabia), Africans, (Ajam), Persians, Hadramis, Mogadishans, Jibalis(?), and the people of Dhubhan, Zayla'is, Barabir, Abyssinians, and they have assimilated to them from every land and place and become wealthy and prosperous.
