BANGO
Denizli's Pigeons
Bango Close-Up.
Most important quality of this breed is the beak. Like a parakeet's beak has to be as wide as possible and curve down to fit on the flat forehead of Bango. Eyes, while popping out of the scull, must be as far away from each other as possible.

These petit birds come with very short legs. They are bred to get the smallest birds possible. any kind of leg feathering is considered to be a grave foult. This covers anything below the elbow. They can be seen with a chest rose or with out it. Bango is a relatively fragile breed and raised soley for its beauty. They are fragile to the point of catching any illness there. Their flight skills are very limited and because they are a very valuable breed, fanciers do not fly them.

Because of the shift of famous fanciers in Istanbul to the racing pigeon front Bango has been in danger of loosing its popularity and its numbers have seen a big decline compared to 10 years ago. Bango is known as one of the most expensive breeds raised in Turkey but also is one of the breeds that is in danger of being extinct.
