Denizli's
Pigeons
They were produced with Denizli clay under high temperatures for may years and utilized by fanciers for decates.
Clay waterer :
These waterers were prefered for their ability to keep the water fresh and as a feeders too.
Clay nest :
They contain four small air holes at the bottom. They prevent heat flactuation during summer or winter. Easy to clean and work well against parasites.
Clay compartments :
Originaly a flower pot but was preffered by fanciers for its ability to keep temperatures constant. Water hole at the bottom was used to nail it to the loft walls.
Clay feed bowl :
It was used for individual feeding and for special mixes.
Clay large feed bowl :
It was used for loft feeding.

Fine sieve, Sling shot, Trap, Feed container, Carrying basket &
Shephert stick.
Fine sieve :
It was used to get rid of dust and foreign matters from the feed.
Sling shot :
They were used against hawks to prevent them from sneaking around the trees for an attack in old Denizli garden lofts.
Trap :
This non-lethal trap was preffered to catch mouse so they can be released in distance locations.
Clay feed container :
They were used in the old days and had a capacity of 30 to 60 kilograms.
Carrying basket :
These baskets were used for pigeon transfer and their weawing structure creates and ideal air circulation.
Shephert stick :
This was used mainly by un-experienced fanciers to train their birds to respond to only certain colored sticks. If young birds or D�neks were to land on another fancier's loft they would not respond to his commands but, this trick is not known by today's fanciers.

Catch chimney
It was used by utilizing the pigeon's instinc to perch on highest levels. It is a practical technique to catch a young bird or a run away. They were placed at the edges of over-hangs or the top of the roof and waited for the bird to perch on it. When the right time comes, it is very easy to catch the bird through a hole from the roof and
the bottom of the pot. It is rarely used today
Hand crafted beaded pigeon rings
To be able to seperate different blood-lines with different colors and with desire to beautify the pigeons they were used for many years..
On top of hand made Denizli kilim and hand crafted sitting cloth,
beaded pigeon rings and a section of our antique collection.
