As of the last reliable update, the New DeLorean is still in the works. This time there will be two New DeLoreans, (neither of which has a name yet), one will sell for US $1,000,000, and the second will be much more affordable (around $20,000). Recently pictures of the $1 million car were shown at a convention which fellow DeLorean enthusiast Tamir Ardon attended. He took some pictures there of the watch offered for sale and of the car.

According to John DeLorean, the $1 million car will have a massive 13 litre, V-12 engine! This car will directly compete with the likes of McLaren, Jaguar, Lamborghini, and Ferrari. It will most likely assume the hallowed title of The World's Fastest Production Car from the McLaren F-1.
The second car will continue DeLorean's theory that the people who would most enjoy fast cars cannot afford them. He hopes to change that with the $20,000 car. It will be made out of a structural composite with his trademark gullwing doors and a 250-275 hp engine. The car will weigh between 1400 and 1500 lbs, total.
The Watch
The next thing Mr. DeLorean will be selling is a handsome $3000 watch. This watch, engineered by Time Tech, is made entirely of stainless steel. That's not the only thing you get for $3000, though. Each watch comes with a sequential number, which is your place in line for a new car. The watch is not compulsory, but it guarantees you a place in line well ahead of everyone else.
