Paulina, or Paula for short, has always enjoyed helping people and children. She used to sacrifice Friday nights for babysitting jobs just so she could be around kids. Then she grew up and had one of her own. Unfortunately her pregnancy took her out of her last semester of studies at Central MIssouri State University keeping her from getting her degree. So she threw her life into taking care of her family. A family which eventually gained a son.
The four were very happy until the day that they weren't. One day Paulina recieved a frantic call from her husband. They'd had a car wreck and something bad had happened to thier fifteen year old daughter. Paulina assumed she had died, but it was far worse than that. Her daughter had joined the creatures that were raising from below the surface. Her daughter was now a creature, a creature that took glee in munching her father to death.
Now her son is all she has left and she's made a solemn promise not to loose him as well.
A depressed, yet nice person who will take care of anyone, especially in the kind of world that exists now. Can become quite the beast herself when someone she cares for is in danger.
Under whatever facade she tries to put up, she is still nothing but human. She has a mother's feral instincts, but, if those wear off, she could be in quite a heap of trouble.
Part of her classes at CMSU involved nursing. She thought she'd take one just to know it in case it was ever needed. So she has basic nursing skills, but nothing too elaborate.
