Their family was perfect until, two days before the beginning of the living dead attack, Laura and Lucy died in a car accident. The morning it hit their neighbourhood he put some of his and his son's things in a bag, put it into their car (they had two cars, one was destroyed in the car accident.) and drove away, trying to find someplace safe...
