Caleb was just starting out his life when all the trouble began. Not that it was much of a life. The older kids picked on him, leading him to try to pick up some fighting moves from watching a lot of movies. He was able keep them off of him for long enough.
The world changed and he didn't have to worry about the bullies anymore. He now had to worry about his sister being turned into a zombie creature and killing his father. He had to deal with no one but himself to protect his mother. That, as he found out, was more important than anything he had ever been through before.
Has been taught respect from his mother. Also he knows how it feels to be treated badly so he doesn't want to do it to anyone else. A good kid, but has learned to do what it takes.
Can defend himself pretty well. But he's by far an expert with any fighting style. He's going to need more than just fancy footwork to fight his enemies now.
