| The Adventures of Deacon Troll |
| The blow struck him hard across the chest and sent him hurtling across the room. Deacon Troll smashed into the wall at a tremendous speed and fell to the ground with most of the stone wall coming with him. The troll rolled onto his stomach and coughed hard into the ground. A tiny puddle of blood was being created by a steady flow from the troll's mouth. That was when he realized it: during the entire encounter with Dizz Trawyer, his hat had never fallen off until now. He reached for it and groaned as he replaced it upon his head. His eyes moved around the room to the spot where the mechanical monster stood. Dizz Trawyer was standing in the middle of the three brothers hanging from the ceiling. He reached out his hand and slightly caressed the side of Burt's face. The brother strugled in the metallic tenticle. "What do you think of your all powerful master now?" Dizz Trawyer mocked. Without letting them answer, the dark master slowly lumbered towards the troll. Deacon Troll knew he had to think fast. He rose to his feet and readied himself. His hands came together at the wrists and he pulled back his arms and summoned up as much energy as he could from within himself. A white light began eminating from the troll's hands. He released the energy in one thrust of his arms. A beam of light travelled directly to the abomination. For the split second before the beam hit the dark master, Deacon Troll thought that he saw the light relecting on something. Then the room went silent in an explosion of white light and everyone was temporarily blinded. When the light had subsided Deacon Troll slowly opened his eyes. Dizz Trawyer stood there still unharmed. "Do you think your little light show could stop me?" What was that glimmer of light? The troll desperately searched for a weakness on the mechanical monstrosity. There is something that I'm missing. Deacon Troll went through Dizz Trawyer's previous description to see if he could think of a weakness. He remembered the green and yellow body armour that covered his entire body. He remembered the control pannel that was hidden on the nightmare's arm. He remembered the octagon. The octagon! That must be what reflected. Deacon Troll looked for the octagon on Dizz Trawyer's armour but it was nowhere to be seen. Maybe... Deacon Troll charged at the nighmare. Dizz Trawyer swung his arm at the troll but he was too slow. Deacon Troll flipped himself over Dizz Trawyer, landing back-to-back with the nightmare. The troll quickly back-flipped himself back over Dizz Trawyer's head as he swung around to face the troll. The troll held his right hand open as he flew through the air and called out with his mind. The tiny pieces of the cane vibrated. The troll landed facing Dizz Trawyer and slowly backed up while still calling out with his mind. The pieces slowly began to move. The now enraged Dizz Trawyer turned to face the troll. Deacon called louder. The pieces flew into the air and combined together to once again form the troll's cane. It soared through the air stopping in the troll's hand. Deacon Troll grasped the cane in both hands now, and charged Dizz Trawyer, raising his hands over his head. The nightmare saw this and readied himself. The troll jumped and the nightmare swung his arms up, but the troll did not try to jump over Dizz Trawyer again. The nightmare missed the troll and Deacon Troll thrust the cane down upon the center of Dizz Trawyer's chest in the most powerful blow he had ever stricken. There was a great explosion of sparks and the octagon became visable once more; but this time it was broken in two and fell to the floor with a loud clang. Dizz Trawyer screamed and his armour lit up in an extremely bright light. The upgraded armour exploded off of him, incinerating itself before it could touch the ground. When the light cleared Dizz Trawyer was in the fetal position on the floor gasping for breath. "Are you going to let us be now?" asked Deacon Troll. "Never..." Dizz Trawyer managed before lunging at the troll. Dizz Trawyer began flailing his arms at the troll in a last ditch effort. Deacon Troll was using his cane as a shield, blocking each of the nightmare's swings. The troll sent his fist into Dizz Trawyer's gut sending him soaring across the room. Green blood was slowly flowing from his mouth now. Deacon Troll hurried over. "No..." the nightmare uttered as the troll stepped on his wrist, crushing the hidden control pannel. The destruction of the control pannel caused a power fluctuation in the room and the tenticles that held the three went limp, allowing the brothers to escape. The freedom of the brothers distracted the troll just long enough for Dizz Trawyer to kick at the troll's legs. The troll fell to the floor. Dizz Trawyer jumped on top of the troll to subdue him but the troll's reflexes were too fast. Deacon Troll grabbed Dizz Trawyer's arms and used both feet to kick the nightmare in the gut, sending him flying again, across the room. Dizz Trawyer landed hard. Deacon Troll rose to his feet. The nightmare rolled over to face his opponent. All he could do was watch. "It's not supposed to end this way..." Dizz Trawyer muttered. Deacon charged Dizz Trawyer one final time. He leaped into the air with his cane streatched forward, aimed directly at the nightmare. Dizz Trawyer tried to dodge but it was too late. The cane entered Dizz Trawyer in the chest. Green blood flowed steadilly from the wound. He groaned in pain. Deacon Troll spoke up, "It's over." He removed the cane and started for the exit. "Oh I highly doubt that, aaugh, my dear, eh, troll," Dizz Trawyer replied. The troll refocused his attention on his dying opponent. "You haven't met my master yet" With that final remark Dizz Trawyer's eyes rolled back into his head and he never moved again. For the first time since anyone had entered the room, the flames went out. The End? |
