Issue # 8
The Genesis Showdown
The Adventures of Deacon Troll
Burt was trapped between the multiple legs of the creature known as Black Hole Degrujj.  It's tail was raised over it's head ready to strike.  The razor sharp hook on the tip of the tail glimmered in the firelight.  Burt watched the tail with extreme caution.
The creature struck with it's tail, and Burt dodged the attack.  The hook created small craters in the stone floor causing pebbles and dust to spray in every direction.
Burt knew he had to get this creature off of him.  Its strength was amazing.  Burt could feel something lurking in the back of his mind.  With all of his strength, the youngest brother pushed up his hands into the body of the beast.  This stunned the creature long enough for Burt to escape the creature's legs.
Burt was ready end this battle as soon as posible.  He began summoning up as much energy as he could.
Black Hole Degrujj's tail came again, but this time Burt was not quick enough to dodge it.  The hook narrowly missed him but the tail came down on Burt's head hard.  He was thrown across the room and came crashing into the wall.  Burt shook his head trying to get his vision to return sooner.  There was one thing he could see for sure: Black Hole Degrujj was charging straight for him.
Burt refused to believe this was the end.  Once again, the young brother began summoning a great energy.  Sparks and bolts of yellow energy began flying from the young one.  Time seemed to slow.
Black Hole Degrujj leaped at Burt, tail poised for attack.  Time halted.
Burt slowly approached the creature and smirked.  He grasped on to the tail and prepared himself.  The young one snapped his fingers and time returned to normal.  With incredible speed and strength, Burt twirled around, still holding on to the tail, and pulled it down and thrust it up into the creature's belly.  The creature screamed with shock and pain as it realized that it had landed on its own tail rather than the young brother.  The hook punctured the underbelly of the creature and was now spewing blue blood across the floor.  The creature squirmed around until it crashed to the floor and never rose up again.
Burt turned his attention away from the dead creature and returned to his master.  He gasped.

Kurt was trying to struggle out of the firm grasp of Mini Moom.  The creature's pincers were crushing Kurt's wrists.  Mini Moom began attacking the eldest brother with its tail, striking him across the face.
Kurt knew he had to act fast or he was done for.  The brother jumped in the air and while flipping himself backward, kicking the creature in the face.  When he landed on the ground again he flipped the creature over his head.  Mini Moom lost the grip it had on the brother and fell to the ground.  The creature snarled with rage.
The antennae upon the creature's head began to shimmer with sparks of energy.  Kurt anticipated the creature would show its full power soon.
Kurt jumped to the side, barely escaping a thunderbolt of energy from the creature's antennae.  The ground exploded in the storm of chaotic energy.  Mini Moom began its attack once more.  Kurt knew he had to act quickly.
The brother raised to his feet as quickly as he could and began running as fast as he could.  Mini Moom's attack followed closely at Kurt's heels, tearing up the ground as it went.  Kurt knew there was nothing he could do unless he could get closer to the creature.  There was no time for Kurt to think.
Kurt stopped and the attack hit right on target.  The eldest brother was thrown to the ground.  Mini Moom approached with caution.  The brother was not moving.
Kurt watched the creature approach.  He summoned within himself a great power.  The brother's hand began to glow.  The creature noticed this and screamed in anger.
In a split second, Kurt leaped from the ground over the creature and ripped the antennae from its head.  Mini Moom cried out in agony.  He was mad now.
A half smile appeared on Kurt.  Mini Moom charged at the brother and Kurt dodge the attack with realative ease.  The brother decided it was his turn to attack.  Kurt charged the creature with his glowing arms poised to attack.  The elder brother leaped at the creature.  Mini Moom franticly tried to grab the brother as he leaped but it was too late.  Kurt's fist entered through the creature's chest and exited out the back in a spray of yellow goo.  Mini Moom moaned as it wobbled for a few seconds until its eyes rolled back into its head and it fell to the ground.  The creature would rise up no more.
Kurt let out a deep breath and began searching for his master.  He jumped at what he saw.

Murt was trapped in the arms of the cyborg.  His eyes were locked onto Khaz McDust and were not to be diverted by anything; not even the battles his brothers were engaged in.
"After this I am never going to see you again," smirked the cyborg.  It began striking the brother across his face.
"Forgive me if I don't ask for a good-bye hug," groaned Murt.
"On the contrary, I will be glad when the stress of you three is eliminated."
"Yeah," replied Murt, "we really are a pain in the ass."  With that, the brother used the last of his strength to force himself away from the cyborg ripping the mechanical arms from their sockets as he did so.  Sparks flew from the dangling wires where the cyborg's upper arms were formerly located.  Murt tossed the dead limbs aside.  The brother was ready to finish this once and for all.
Murt summoned all his power that he had left.  His hand began to glow brilliantly.
Khaz McDust charged Murt.  Murt ran as fast as he could towards the cyborg.
Khaz raised his leg into a powerfull kick, but Murt slid to the ground under the kick and punched through the cyborg's stomach and into its chest.
"Look at the bright side..." Murt began as he opened his hand within the cyborg.
        Khaz looked down and gasped.
"You'll never have to see me again," Murt mocked as he let out all of his stored up energy through his hand.  The cyborg's head exploded with a great beam of yellow light.  Murt smirked and removed his arm from the cyborg's body, letting it fall to the ground.  The pile of wires and flesh burned slowly.
The cyborg's scorched hat slowly sank to the ground beside the cybernetic pile of rubble.
Murt smiled to himself and returned his attention back to his master.
        "Oh no," he exclaimed.
