Issue # 4
... And Your Enemies Even Closer
The Adventures of Deacon Troll
       The three brothers stepped closer to the helpless troll.
        Deacon Troll could sense a great power building up within the brothers.
What could make them do something like this?  The brothers began to glow a brilliant yellow and there was a sound of a great surge of power.  Deacon put his hand out in front of him to brace himself and suddenly the entire world fell away...

        "What's happening?!" hissed Dizz Trawyer in confusion.
        The troll and the three stood as if time had frozen them in one specific moment.  The troll's arm was outstretched and the three were standing in a triangular formation looking directly at the troll and still giving off the bright light.
        "Ah... I'm not sure master.  But it cannot be good for the troll," Himzz Elf said letting out a nervous laugh.
        "Well get them out of there.  I don't want my new "employees" to be permanently damaged."
        "Yes master..." the elf muttered and cautiously stepped toward the three.

        Deacon Troll awoke to find himself in an unusual place.  The place was a void of nothing.  There was nothing in any direction.  He had been to this place before.  Suddenly he could see a faint light in the far off distance.  He began towards it.  As he got closer he realized that it was a figure with three other figures surrounding it.

                                                                                     *        *        *

        Himzz Elf walked up to Kurt, the brother closest to the troll in the triangle, and looked deep into his eyes.  He still held the same rage-filled expression as before he was frozen.  It was the same with the other two.  The elf looked deeper into the creature's eyes...

                                                                                     *        *        *

        The light around the figure in front grew brighter like a flame that had instantly found a better source of fuel.  The troll slowly crept closer to the figures.  The figure in the center was too bright to make out but the three surrounding him were the three brothers.  They stood there in a motionless rage, like they were frozen to the spot.
        "Well, well, well," came a twisted voice from the light. "It seems we have a visitor.  Let's help feel a little more uncomfortable..."  The figure stepped forward out of the light.  Himzz Elf stared at the troll with a twisted smile.  The light flowed off the elf as if it were a cloak.  There was an arrogant stride in his walk.
        Deacon Troll watched as the elf strode towards him.  The troll prepared for the worst.
        "Playtime is over," the elf spat through clenched teeth.  He let out an echoing shriek.  It sent out an invisible shock wave that knocked over the troll.  The brothers began to glow with the same light as the elf.  The light was flowing from their eyes.

        Dizz Trawyer watched in amusement as the ground around the five frozen figures in front of him began to shake and crumble.  He knew what was happening.  He had seen it all before.  The troll's resolve would now be tested.  There is no way for him to escape.
        The three were glowing brighter now.  There was a great rumble and the ground shook violently all over.  That's when Dizz Trawyer saw it.  At first he didn't notice it.  He almost didn't believe it.  After a few moments he was sure of it.
        Deacon Troll stood there unflinching.  A tiny stream of blood flowed down his face.
