- the composer and author of The Roaring Si1ence - John Cage: A Life
will premier Revenant, an experimental intermedia piece based on multiple
projections of the silent films of Gorges Melies, interpreted and realized from
a graphic score with musicians Homer Lambrecht and David Means joining the
composer/percussionist.

- the composer/performer and audio artist will give an evening
performance for voice, live electronic processing and sampling technology.

- the sound art and performance duo will create a sound, movement
and performance installation designed especially for the Nobles performance
space.

- clarinetist-composer, video artist, computer music programmer
Burton Beerman and dancer-choreographer Celesta Haraszti will present an
interactive polytechnic music and movement environment using lasers and a
graphic set designed by David Means.
Cinnamon Sphere (Toronto)
Friday, May 15th 8:00 p.m.
- Cinnamon Sphere creates cinematic, ritual performances for the
eyes and ears. Korean-influenced calligraphy performance by Ha Chung Gong,
prepared electric guitar by Nilan Perera, and sampled insects, fire and bird
sounds by Sarah Peebles, create a hypnotic mixture of aural textures, light and
motion.

- the composer/performer and video artist will create a
multi-media ritual performance installation for voice, images and electronics.

David Means directs the Metro State student group in an evening
of experimental intermedia works created in conjunction with the festival
artists as part of the spring quarter class "Creating New Works".
